For our latest installment of ‘These 50 States Are So Gay!”, we are trekking up to the Pine Tree State. That’s right! We’re exploring LGBT life in the great state of Maine!

First up, we welcome the delightful Elise Johansen, executive director of Equality Maine to give us the lay of the gay land in Maine including life post-marriage equality, the challenges in engaging communities of color and even some advanced internet search techniques if you too want to be an executive director.

Then, we are just thrilled to be joined by Maine State Representative Justin Chenette, who, in 2012, became the nation’s youngest openly gay legislator and Maine's youngest lawmaker at age 21. Folks, this is one ridiculously inspiring man, so sit back, listen in and prepare to be challenged to start using your voice to make a difference.
