In July of 2008, Ken put out an ad on a local classifieds website under the header of "Witty Gay Male Desperately Seeking...Cohost?!?" -

I am currently seeking a fun-loving, loquacious, queer-friendly female of any sexual orientation to cohost a new radio show on WVEW on Wednesday nights from 9-10pm.

ME: 31, funny :)

YOU: Willing to make a long-term commitment to introspection, hilarity and a weekly show on Wednesdays from 9-10 pm.

So if you're looking to spice up your life...um...well, this is a weird way to do it, but I guarantee it will be a blast.*

*My guarantees sometimes don't pan out, but it's fun to dream, right?

Becca responded with a "Sure!" and the rest is history. Well, except for the part where Becca was 20 minutes late to their first meeting and Ken figured she was chickening out not knowing Becca was late because she got bit by a rabid cat and had to go to the emergency room. But the rest is history.

When he is not hosting gay radio shows, Ken Schneck serves as the Dean of Students at Marlboro College in Vermont. He received his PhD in 2008 as a gay jew from a jesuit college in NYC writing a dissertation entitled (no joke!) "That's so gay: Deconstructing the word gay in the daily parlance of high school students".

Becca Sheehan is an activist for GLBT rights who currently lives near Brattleboro, VT. When she's not on the radio or fighting for justice one strongly worded letter at a time, you could probably find her curled up with a book or getting lost in the woods.. Oh, also, she has shot a gun. Nuff said.
